Global Speakers Federation
In 2015 Lenora Billings-Harris, reached out to me and encouraged me to stand for election for a role on the board of the Global Speakers Federation. I didn’t get that role, but did get the next one and then after a few years absence, I applied for the position of Vice President of the GSF. I lost the first year, won the second and then served 4 amazing years on the Presidential Leadership Team of GSF.
During those years I talked with and encouraged a few other people to explore their leadership skills. I didn’t realise, when we took this photo at the Professional Speakers Australia – PSA conference 2 years ago, that the 2 wonderful women I was standing with, would also take their turns. This photo of Joni Peddie and Neerja Singh and I shows 3 women who have and who will be President of the Global Speakers Federation.
It is Women’s Month (not just day) in March and yesterday was #PSCD Professional Speakers Celebration Day, and I cannot think of any better celebration that to recognise these amazing women, and to thank Lenora for preparing the path for us.
Lenora, Joni, Neerja, I have mad respect for all of you and so very proud to call you friends, and colleagues.
